Options are, but not limited to: a 20 minute walk in the neighborhood, playing fetch in your back yard or a 20 minute walk/jog in a near by park.

In Home Pet Sit Visit: An assigned staff member visits your pet in your home while you are out of town. Visits are made between the hours of 6:00 am and 9:00 pm. During our initial "Home Visit" we discuss how we can best benefit you and your pet while you are out of town. We consider the following needs of your pet when we develop your pet's care program: meals, basic grooming, medications, litter box cleaning, daily exercise and daily mental stimulation. Over Night Stays: A staff member will arrive at your home at 6:00 pm and remain with your pet until 8:00 am the next morning. During our initial "Home Visit" we discuss how we can best benefit you and your pet while you are out of town. We take into consideration the following needs of your pet when we develop your pet's care program: meals, basic grooming, medications, littler box cleaning, daily exercise and daily mental stimulation. Our staff member is always willing to share his/her bed with your pet during the night if that is part of their normal routine. A lot of bonding time is afforded during our over night stay as your pet and our staff member watch movies and/or share good novels.

Instinctual Work Out: A staff member arrives at your home and spends 60 minutes with your pet. During our initial "Home Visit" we discuss how we can best benefit your pet during his/her Instinctual Work Out. Your pet's work out plan may revolve around one of the following activities: a power walk at a local park, a trail hike at a nearby forest, off leash play with a buddy or two in a fenced area or water retrieving. Our goal is to tap into the inner spirit of your pet and afford activities that will allow utilization of his/her instinctual drives. If we transport your pet to a pre-determined area to fulfill his/her instinctual work out objectives, the transport time does not take away from your pet's 60 minute work out. Nor do we charge extra for transportation.
Training and Behavior Assessments: Kim has discovered both pet and owner is much more likely to find success when training programs are designed with the pet's inner spirit in mind. If you are interested in training and/or behavior modification, Kim will meet with you and your family members which includes your dog (or cat) to discuss your goals. Based on your goals and your pet's inner spirit, Kim will work with you and your family to develop a training program that is; positive, fun, realistic, successful. More than anything else, the program will embrace and nourish the trusting relationship between you and your pet. Training objectives will be established, evaluated and reassessed from time to time. Kim will take a close look at the daily actives shared between your pet and all family members and use these activities to develop training plans. These activities include, but are not limited to; meal time, grooming time, play trim, crate time, relaxation time, exercise time and social time.
Agility Classes: Our approach to teaching agility to you and your pet is unique, fun and positive. Our agility core curriculum is offered in building blocks; beginning with foundational skills needed before you and your pup start working on the obstacles we find on any agility course. Our building block therory to teaching agility is designed to set you up for success as you embrace the sport of agility. Our approach will also strengthen the relationship you have with your pup as well as advance your understanding of canine body communication and how dogs respond to "spatial relationships." If you want to do agility with your pup just to have fun as you strengthen your relationship, or if you want to prepare to take up agility as a competitive sport, we invite you to check us out.
Feedback: If you and your pet has a need that is not reflected above, please let us know. Kim feels very blessed to be in a position to help people and their pets; Animal Instincts is here for you and your pet!
